CHSK-D1 Series Fast Switching Capacitor Bank

Serial Number: CHSK-D1 Series
This switching device primarily consists of components such as thyristors, a trigger circuit, an absorption circuit, heat sinks, and a cooling system. The trigger circuit determines whether to output a control signal (DC12V) around the voltage zero-crossing point, thereby enabling the thyristor to either turn on or turn off.

Important Information

This information is intended for professionals who are qualified to select and install this switching device. When using it, you must strictly adhere to the national standards relevant to the industry—though some of these standards may not be explicitly mentioned in this document.

Application

The switching capacitor switch is used in three-phase systems to connect or disconnect capacitors. Compared to other switching devices, this switch features zero inrush current during operation, no contact noise, and a significantly higher switching frequency. These advantages are achieved through the integration of a trigger circuit, thyristors, diodes, and several auxiliary components. This switching device is ideally suited for applications where the load changes rapidly.

Component units

This switching device primarily consists of components such as thyristors, a trigger circuit, an absorption circuit, heat sinks, and a cooling system. The trigger circuit detects whether to output a control signal (DC12V) around the voltage zero-crossing point, thereby enabling the thyristor to either turn on or turn off. The trigger circuit reliably ensures stable output of the control signal, while the excellent thermal conductivity of the heat sinks, combined with the addition of cooling fans, significantly enhances the device's heat dissipation performance. Additionally, the unit features a built-in overtemperature protection switch and a temperature switch that automatically activates the cooling fan, providing optimal conditions for safe operation.

Installation Instructions

When installing the switching and disconnecting switch, please pay attention to the IP protection rating, temperature class, and the maximum allowable installation height. Ambient temperature directly affects the electrical lifespan of the module equipment. If a single cabinet houses an excessively high-capacity module stack, it is recommended to install a high-power fan for heat dissipation and cooling. The standard fan airflow rate should follow the specifications outlined in the table below.

If necessary, install a ventilation and cooling system in the distribution room. Carefully mount the modular equipment, ensuring ample space around the installed cabinet to facilitate maintenance and inspection after installation.

Tip: This device is suitable for vertical installation. Ensure that the vertical distance between the switching units is at least 10 cm. If multiple rows are to be installed, arrange them in an alternating pattern to promote proper ventilation and heat dissipation, while maintaining a sufficient horizontal spacing for easy cable routing and enhanced cooling performance.

Equipment Inspection

Before preparing to install the equipment, please confirm the following preparatory steps:
1. Check whether the packaging box is intact and if there are any areas of significant damage to the packaging after transportation.
2. Inspect the mechanical and electrical components of the module equipment for any obvious damage.
3. Verify that the module equipment's nameplate technical specifications—such as rated voltage, current, and frequency—match the local grid parameters.

It primarily features the following characteristics:

1. Zero-crossing switching, no inrush current, and prevents voltage flicker in the power grid.
2. Optoelectronic isolation, strong anti-interference capability, and fast response speed (20ms)
3. Integrated design, compact size, and easy installation.
4. LED signal lights indicate the switching status.
5. Built-in cooling fan with automatic fan start/stop control.
6. Built-in overtemperature (75℃) protection.
7. Fully cast structure, sturdy and durable.
8. Operation is silent, with no mechanical wear, significantly extending the service life.
Compared to traditional contactors, this switching device features zero inrush current, no mechanical shock, no transition process, minimal mechanical wear, and virtually silent operation. It can dynamically respond to changes in system load by switching capacitors on and off in real time—without causing voltage flicker in the system. Extensive long-term operation has consistently demonstrated the product's stable performance, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Equipment Maintenance

1. Regularly check whether the fan of the switching switch is operating properly, and replace it if necessary. When replacing, ensure that the new fan has the same capacity to prevent insufficient airflow, which could cause the thyristor to overheat and fail due to excessive temperature.
2. Regularly clean the cooling device to prevent a decline in its cooling efficiency.
