Product Overview
The low-voltage composite switch is an intelligently designed, energy-saving capacitor switch specifically developed to address the limitations of thyristors and current contactors in low-voltage reactive power compensation applications. It’s perfectly suited for switching control of low-voltage reactive power compensation capacitors. Its basic operating principle involves paralleling a thyristor with a magnetic latching relay, allowing the internal chip to automatically analyze and determine the optimal timing for switching—in or out—of the capacitor. This composite switch combines the advantage of thyristors, which achieve zero-cross switching during both connection and disconnection, while also benefiting from the low power consumption of contactors during normal operation.
